Meet the
A² Team
Managing Partner
Dr. Nadav Shimoni established and serves as Managing Partner at A². In this role, Nadav oversees the fund's activities, including deal sourcing, due diligence processes, and ongoing support for portfolio companies. He serves on the board of Laguna, Rhino, Medminder, Eleos, Validic and Siftwell and No Barrier.
Dr. Shimoni is a physician by training. Prior to A², he served as the Director of Hospital Business Development at Clalit Health Services, Head of Business Development at Rambam Medical Center, and as an Associate at Accelmed, a medical device VC. In parallel, he conducted public health research focused on the implementation of data and AI-driven solutions in clinical workflows.
Dr. Shimoni holds an M.D. from Ben-Gurion University, graduating magna cum laude.

Sam Cronin joined A² Ventures in 2021 and leads the Israel-based activities. He is
responsible for deal sourcing, due diligence, portfolio management, and fostering outreach
within the local healthcare ecosystem. Sam sits on the boards of Edocate, Revisto and
Gracey.
Prior to joining A², Sam headed the digital health vertical at the UK Israel Tech Hub,
where he provided boutique innovation consulting to diverse healthcare multinationals
such as AstraZeneca, Walgreens Boots Alliance, Elsevier, and the NHS.
Sam holds advanced degrees across pharmacology, biotechnology and medical devices,
from both the University of Leeds and Ben-Gurion University, and before moving to Israel
worked in corporate finance conducting financial forensic investigations in the City of
London. He is a fellow in medical innovation at UCL (UK) and a guest lecturer at several
Israeli universities.
Senior Associate & Platform Lead
Jason Zilberkweit joined A-Squared in 2025 and leads platform development while cross-functionally supporting fund activities. He is responsible for the efficient coordination of the firms resources, partners and broader network to create alignment and generate value across the platform. Prior to joining A-Squared, Jason led the North American insurance advisory practice at SOSA, a global innovation consultancy, working with innovation and CVC teams to design corporate venture strategy and execution through effective partnership development with emerging tech. Jason holds a B.S. In Computer Science with a minor in finance from NYU. Based in NYC, Jason began his career as a software engineer before spending the past 5 years in various strategy & operations consulting roles.
